I Saw God today, in gardening.
I plant my seeds in nice little rows, hoping life will grow in nice straight lines
when more often than not, life grows crooked, rows are lined empty where plants might have grown, and the life I imagined is only that, a life imagined.
It is during these times questions grow like weeds and I again wonder what is my purpose here and what does God require of me.
And God in His kindness reminds me, reminds me of His words that always bring me life. Micah 6:8 “…And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.”
So the answer is not a perfect home, a perfect marriage, the perfect children, or the perfect garden?
It seems as if walking humbly with God is knowing instead that I am not perfect. It is understanding my great need for Him and giving thanks in all these imperfect situations, the weeds, crooked rows, and more.
