I saw God today, in grace undeserved.
On Parenting Today’s Teens Mark Gregston shares a conversation he had with a teen. He was at his wits end knowing how to reach her and this is part of the conversation they had…
“What do you want from me?”
She responded in a way that I’ll never forget. She said, “Love me when I least deserve it, cuz that’s when I need it the most.”
That stopped me dead in my tracks. I dropped the argument and just gave her a hug. At that moment I realized that what she needed was grace.”
I see God doing that very same thing this week, loving and showing me grace, when I am at my worst. And by worst, I mean some not so pretty days, filled with critical, cranky, selfish, and insecure. Yet his grace has flooded my week, through music, stories, and encouraging words. And this grace, His great grace, stops me dead in my tracks, and leaves me wanting more, more of HIs grace, more of HIm.
He is there in the center of your “least deserving it”.
