I know this post is a little late. Christmas is done, and the tree and lights are coming down today. But Joy… I pray joy will remain in 2019 for you and for me.  ____________________________________________________________________________________________

Not the presents under the tree

nor the Christmas cookies

nor all things temporary

But Jesus,

lasting joy,

despite trouble, hardship, and loss

Not happiness bubbling over

but deep contentment

enveloping

me.
