It has been almost two years since I last wrote in this space. It feels like a lifetime ago, as I’m sure it does for you.
After taking a couple of years off from writing (because of college studies), I began to write a bit again this year. It has been more for myself than anyone, but more recently, I decided to pick up this habit over on Instagram.
I created an account there called
@eveningandmorningnotes
This space, I call Evening and Morning Notes, is dedicated to a rhythm of writing in the morning and evening.
For as long as I can remember, I have had a morning quiet time. A place where I could sit, read, journal, and reflect. However, this spring, when nothing was as it should be, I started a new routine. I would scribble short little notes or poems at night before I went to bed. I found comfort and life in this new little habit.
This account was born out of this new rhythm and a desire to grow in writing – both small essays/devotionals called #morningnotes and poems/notes called #eveningnotes.
I would love to have you join me if you use Instagram. If you do not use social media but would still like to receive updates on my essays/devotionals/poems, feel free to message me or comment in the comment section below, and I will see what I can do to get them to you.
